Reflections on Kindness: Heartwarming Moments with Hsu Kuang-han

Back when Hsu Kuang-han wasn’t famous yet, I was working on marketing for his drama. I was also a newbie at the time. In any case, I accompanied him for an interview. I still remember it was on the floor above my office at the time. After the reporter finished the interview, he started swiftly tidying up the chairs and tables (which were actually just wooden boxes piled up). While the reporter and I were chatting, he finished tidying up, then came over to us and asked the reporter to move her bag. At the time, I was thinking, why the rush! I could move those boxes later. Only afterward did I realize he wanted to help me put all the boxes back together, and he also needed to use the restroom. He was worried that if he went, I’d have to do it myself. So, he asked the reporter to move her bag. Sigh, he was really a considerate and thoughtful boy.

Not to mention, at the time, I had been admiring a jerk for a long while, and when I was heartbroken, it was he, the now global superstar, who comforted me. Looking back, those were like scenes straight out of a romantic drama.

Let me share another story that will make all the Mrs. Hsus go crazy. Once, we went to Taichung for an Apple Daily weekend news report. He needed to be photographed at certain spots. This superstar had his own luggage but insisted on carrying both his luggage and my equipment after the shoot. I thought it would be more efficient if I just carried everything myself because he had to move back and forth for the photo shoots, making it more of a hassle. However, he was adamant that he should carry the heavy stuff, and he had to carry his own things.

Alright, I didn’t expect so many people to read this without any tags or hashtags, but I didn’t want to use him for clout, so I won’t say more. I just wanted to express that this person is also extremely gentlemanly and considerate in private. At the time, I was the lowest-level marketing staff, and when others were chatting with the higher-ups, he would come to help me, so I always remember this.
