Aitaiker Taiwanese Fried Chicken – blogTO Feedzy

Aitaiker serves up Taiwanese-style fried chicken cutlets and street food at four locations in and around Toronto.

Their Markham location features energetic yellow accents and pristine white interiors, adorned with the distinctive brand logo.

The fast casual setup includes a limited number of tables for you to eat these freshly prepared delights.

Aitaiker’s signature boneless fried chicken steaks come with a selection of seasonings—Salt & Pepper, Hot Chili, Black Pepper and Seaweed, evoking the flavours found in Taiwan’s bustling night markets.

Chicken sandwiches, bento boxes, shared platters and family meals are also available on their menu.

Coated in a thin and crunchy breading, the Taiwanese Crispy Chicken ($10.99) achieves the perfect balance of crust and meat. It’s made with hicken breast (white meat) that is firm yet moist.

While the classic seaweed seasoning holds a special place in my heart, I recommend going for the spicy hot chili flavour if you’re seeking something with a bit more punch.

Beneath its crispy, golden exterior, Volcano Cheese Chicken ($12.99) conceals a gooey molten cheese filling.

You can’t go wrong with the Spicy Chicken Sandwich ($9.49) that comes with layers of fried chicken thigh, crisp lettuce, tomato slices and mayonnaise.

Complete the meal with a side of fries and your choice of drink (+$4).

Spicy Chicken Legs come in both 2-piece ($7.99) and 4-piece ($14.99) portions and offer a blissful combination of crunchiness and juiciness,  followed by bold heat.

Dip them in the honey garlic sauce ($0.85) for a sweet twist.

The New Orleans Roasted Wings come infused with their house special spices, presenting a tempting blend of sweet and spicy flavours. Opt for a smaller 5-pieces ($8.49) or the larger 8-pieces ($12.99) servings.

Although Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken ($8.49) is irresistible on its own, I’d suggest pairing it with the restaurant’s sweet honey sauce ($1.35).

The fluffy golden-brown Fried Tofu ($5.99) are an explosion of flavours thanks to the generous sweet-savory dressing.

Another must-order is their Deep Fried Squid Balls ($5.99), slightly fried with a bouncy texture.

Encased in light batter, the full-sized Deep Fried Squid Tentacles ($9.99) are impeccably cooked, keeping it chewy and meaty in each bite.

GanMei Sweet Potatoes ($5.99) is a lovely medley of sweet and sour notes, blanketed with plentiful plum powder that place a Taiwanese twist on traditional fries.

Aitaiker Taiwanese Fried Chicken is located at 5990 16th Ave unit 218 in Markham.
