DuPont proudly announced its participation in SEMICON Taiwan, September 6-8, in Taipei, as a sponsor of the Workforce Development Pavilion. In addition, DuPont experts will present in two technology forums, the Heterogeneous Integration Global Summit, and FLEX Taiwan.
With more than 50 years of presence in Taiwan, DuPont has extensive experience and innovation history within the semiconductor fabrication and consumer electronics industries. Leveraging its local insights, DuPont offers innovative solutions to global customers through its seven Taiwan sites, including manufacturing facilities, innovation centers, and technology centers.
Dennis Chen, president, DuPont Taiwan and global business director, DuPont Advanced Packaging Technologies, expressed his pride in the company’s continued sponsorship of SEMICON Taiwan, stating, “We are proud to be part of SEMICON Taiwan this year. DuPont enthusiastically engages in the Workforce Development Program to share the company’s culture and talent programs. Two panel discussions are expected to be the highlights and DuPont is proud to have experienced female leaders joining each of them. Dr. Yuan Yuan Zhou, global business director of Metallization & Imaging at DuPont, will join the Women in Semiconductor panel on September 7 – ‘Cultivating the Next Generation of Female Semiconductor Key Talents,’ and Emily Lee, DuPont Dayuan site manager, will join the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion panel on September 8 – ‘Embracing Inclusive Culture and Empowering Sustainable Talent Development.’ These discussions are closely aligned with DuPont’s core value of ‘Respect for People’ and its belief that a diverse workforce brings competitive advantages by embodying insights into customer needs.
DuPont will host a talent booth in the pavilion where students and professionals can learn more about the company’s diverse portfolio and presence in Taiwan. DuPont’s talent acquisition manager will be available to answer questions about working at the company, provide career coaching, and assist in exploring career opportunities with DuPont.
In addition to its involvement in the Workforce Development program, DuPont experts will also present on the technical front of SEMICON Taiwan. Dr. Zhou will be a featured speaker at the Heterogeneous Integration Global Summit forum, presenting on interconnect solutions for advanced IC substrates for future advanced packaging designs. Michael Chang, business development consultant, Interconnect Solutions at DuPont, will serve as a moderator of FLEX Taiwan, where speakers will discuss the role of flexible hybrid electronics in creating a Metaverse through the integration of semiconductor devices, sensors, and materials.

A growing number of applications, including smartphone cameras, depend on microlenses to boost performance. A newly developed technology, called laser catapulting, could make it much easier and less expensive to fabricate these miniaturized lenses with customized properties, such as shape or focusing power.
